Boston Tea Party Special Deal:Boston Tea Party had to move their event to fall on our dance date this year, however, they are offering a special deal to all attendees. Purchase a weekend pass to BTP and you also receive free admission to Uptown Swing! That’s two dances for the price of one on Saturday night. All you have to do is show your wristband, sign in, and dance to the fabulous Fried Bananas! In addition, BTP is offering all Uptown Swing attendees who are not attending the weekend to come to the Saturday late night for $20. BTP will be going all night so there will be plenty of time to dance the night away!
Uptown Swing is excited to welcome Shawn Hershey, Josh Fialkoff & The Fried Bananas to our March dance! Shawn first created the Fried Bananas back in his Boston days and we had some great nights dancing to them. Josh also played for us with his own previous band. Now these two have teamed up with a whole new group. They played at the last Montréal DanceFest and had the place swingin’ hard and we’ve been trying ever since to get them back to Boston!
Sax Gordon will be bringing his energy and enthusiasm to light up the dance floor. Every song will make you want to get up and dance! Gordon has a wonderful charm that connects with his audience. Plus there are always surprises that he brings with a wide repertoire from high energy Blues to classic Swing. If you like to have fun and you like to dance, all the ingredients will be provided for an excellent night to bring on those happy feet!
